I am a Professor at the University of North Carolina, and I teach at Jinan University in Guangzhou, China during the summer. Jinan University (one of the longest-accredited and most respected universities in China) often partners with organizatons of China-born students attending colleges and universities in the United States regarding our Summer Program.
This Jinan University initiative offers students an opportunity to continue their studies and earn transfer-qualified college credits, quickly and affordably, when they return home to China during their summer breaks. Our 5-week Summer Program essentially mirrors the Summer Semester offerings at numerous United States colleges and universities in terms of course offerings, curricular content, program duration, number of classroom hours, academic standards, credits earned, and pedagogical rigor. And this is at a small fraction of what the same courses and credits would cost if the students took them in the United States, with much-needed time and money saved for the students and their families, and significant progress toward graduation. In 2014, we will have two campuses featuring these summer programs--a new one in Shanghai to go along with our original one in Guangzhou.http://www.jinansummer.com/Category_79/Index.aspx http://www.jinansummer.com/Category_77/Index.aspx
